About Us

Family Insurance Center, Inc. was established by Robert Thiel in 1988. In 1993, Eric DeBruin joined the agency and in 2004, became the Principal/Owner. Later that year, John Hammen was added to the team. In 2005, Darren Van Camp and Chad Van Camp, who specialize in farm insurance, joined Eric in the Seymour office. In 2009, Lance Schmidt joined the agency adding an office in Greenville, on Appleton’s growing west side. Also in 2009, John opened an office in his hometown of Stockbridge. We have evolved into three offices conveniently serving northeastern Wisconsin in the 21st Century.

Today, in addition to our primary agents, Family Insurance Center Inc. consists of six additional full-time licensed agents and support staff. Family Insurance Center, Inc. has combined insurance experience in excess of 150 years! While there have been many changes over the years, our ultimate goal will always be to maintain the personal relationship that you can trust and expect from a hometown agency. While we are always looking forward, we must always remember the strong traditions of where we have been. We are excited about the next 50 years and expect a continued successful partnership with you, our customers, as we have enjoyed the past 20 years. It is truly an honor to serve you!
